  2. Prepare of curd / 1 lemon.
  3. Prepare of sugar.
  4. You need of semolina/ sooji.

  7. Prepare of cardamom powder.
  8. It's of salt for baking in kadhai/ cooker.

Chena Poda - Odia Burnt Cheese Cake step by step

  1. Take milk in a deep vessel and bring it to a boil..
  2. When milk starts boiling, add juice of one lemon mixed with 2 tbsp water / 1/2 cup dahi in parts to the milk and keep stirring..
  3. After a few minutes of stirring, milk will start curdling..
  4. Strain the mixture and take chena (paneer) in a separate bowl. Don't squeeze all the water out..
  5. Add sugar, semolina in the mixture and give it a thorough mix.
  6. Now add 1 tbsp desi ghee,nuts, cardamon powder. Add some whey if the mixture is dry and mix till everything is combined well..
  7. In a deep kadhai/ cooker put salt and let it heat for 10 minutes.
  8. Grease a cake tin/ any steel container and pour the chena mixture in it..
  9. After preheating the kadhai, put a stand and pur container over it. Cover and let it bake for about 30.35 minutes.
  10. Demould once cool enough to touch.Garnish with some nuts and cardamon..
